When I’m not writing, or working full time, or spending time with my family, I have a terrible habit of volunteering for things. It is because of this habit (as well as a desire to promote the arts in my local community) that I have been involved in various capacities with Creative Royston since 2018, helping to organise the annual Royston Arts Festival.
Last year, I managed to combine a few of my interests (it’s more efficient that way) and created the Royston Book Fair which ran as part of the 2024 festival. It was huge fun and fairly successful and I learned a lot. Apparently, not enough to put me off doing it again, so we’re back for 2025 – bigger and better.
Also, we have a proper website this time, which I’ve knocked together this morning. You can find it here and, if you live anywhere near North Hertfordshire, you might want to come along?
